Decorating with old pallets?

One of my favorite furniture recycles are made from this strong wood element. Every time I see a pallet transformed into a nice piece I get so amazed.

Decorating our living room with a coffee table like this, will certainly lift up the energy inside home,bringing a wood element to our space with its vigorous vibe.

Not all as to be luxurious and glamorous in home decor , sometimes a special piece is not the most expensive but the one that speaks to our heart.

Being conscious about the furniture we have at home is more important than we may imagine, so not having too much and not spending too much is quite easy and even an unpretentious and simple decor can be just as beautiful.

Valuing our home…

Did you know that when we value our homes with actions, in order to improve its functionality and energy, we are also increasing our own personal success?

Maybe we don’t have the possibility to have the home of our dreams and with all the proper Feng Shui details, but we can certainly make some small changes in order to enhance our space potential.

In this particular kitchen for example, the stove and the sink are to close to each other, and as we know, water and fire element don’t combine.

So, to achieve a better balance we can place tree elements, such as a plant or a wood countertop between them, this way we will be harmonizing kitchens beneficial cycle.

And remember, if there is a problem, try to find a solution, and if there is solution there is progress.

How to use the Chinese wind bell to enhance good luck?

This great Feng Shui instrument is often used outside and inside the house, its purpose is to help suppress bad energy flow as well as stimulating good luck.

The number of tubes and its material is also important and may have different effects.

So, in order to attract luck, influential people and even popularity we can use one that has 6 or 8 metal tubes and normally they should be placed at West, Northwest and North.

Avoid placing them inside bedrooms or office space and when placed near the window or outside, its beautiful sound can be quite pleasant and relaxing.

For advanced Feng Shui studies, they can also be used as cure for negative flying star, but for this purpose, only a professional consultant can tell you where to place it correctly.

How to bring Feng Shui to your dining space.

For a beneficial and positive energy in dining room spaces, Feng Shui has some general, but great tips for you to apply in this important home area:

  • Your dining table should be large, but fit comfortably in the room. Oval or round shapes are best, but if your table is rectangular, you can balance it with rounded shapes aswell;
  • Use only natural fabrics for your crockery and textiles, and prefer cloth napkins instead of single use making a more ecological choice;
  • Keep items in good condition and discard any chipped plates, bowls or glasses;
  • A rounded bowl filled fruit, in the centre of the table, is very auspicious showing the “prosperity of life” you possess;
  • Flowers and smaller plants are also a lovely decoration , just remember to do not use dried ones for its stagnant and decay vibration;
  • The energy flow in a dining room needs to be more calm (yin) than active (yang), so in order to help create a relaxing feel we should use pastel or neutral colours in this environment promoting the calming energy we need around the table.

Bathroom Feng Shui tips.

Back in the ancient times , bathrooms were commonly placed outside the house, and in China they rarely even existed for the richest people, there were special workers that carried family evictions during the night.

Modern ways of living changed all of that, and bathrooms are now part of our home so we should consider some important aspects to apply in this space:

  • Too much decoration in the bathroom is unnecessary and will not bring any positive energy;
  • Don’t place flowers, artworks and photos of you or your family;
  • Keep the door closed;
  • Close the toilet lid after used;
  • Avoid sleeping against a wall that touches a bathroom;
  • Never place auspicious or spiritual symbols such as Buddha or other holiness.

Finally, this space of cleaning rituals should stay clean, fresh and airy as much as possible, with no problems in pipes, taps and humidity preventing problems in our own health.
