Now and more than ever, cleaning our homes are a great part of our lives, and this ritual made humankind survive no matter in which part of the world.

Also, some people have a natural well feeling when everything is clean and sparkly, if you are a bit annoyed because your house is a complete mess, then you might need a complete cleaning ritual at home.

While practicing Feng Shui tips in your space, remember that the energy spreads throughout the house as windy, so is carrying all the smells, dust and dirt. Even the products we use can be quite toxic for our health and environment so always try to clean with non chemical products and eco friendly.

Cleaning our home can also help us in organizing our own mind, specially when we are overthinking.

So get to it and trust the process. Schedule 2 days at the most and don’t get lost with the clutter, try to keep only what you need making it easier for the next time.

After you finished, you might experience the following days as more brighter, refreshing and with a much better flow.

Where should we place the stove?

For Feng Shui experts, the stove has a great importance in our home energy due it’s fire element and for being able to provide us the food we need to be healthy.

Advanced Feng Shui studies can give the best placement for it so consult a Feng Shui expert in this matter could be the best option.

Still, in general the best direction to place it should be in south, east or southeast corner of your home or kitchen and while planning your design, you should always keep the stove away from water sources, like fridges and sinks.
In case you can no longer move them, place something that represents the wood element in between, it can help to ameliorate the situation.

Buddha

Buddha statues are often used in Asia, inside the home are used for prayers and decoration transmitting a calming and peaceful energy.

This great symbol is most used in Feng Shui to attract positive energy into a room and specially prosperity if it is correctly placed.

So generally, the best placement for a Buddha statue or image could be in Southeast, the prosperity corner of your house, but if what you need is some spiritual growth and strength, then Northeast would be the best direction to place it.

Avoid placing them in bathrooms or bedrooms and keep in mind that the objects inside our home should be symbols of what we truly love and value,no matter what religion or belief.

Nevertheless, in Classic Feng Shui genesis,Buddha symbolizes also the knowledge past from master to student for over 200 years, with the valuable contribute of Buddhist monks as YEN BEN and SUI BENG, also Feng Shui Masters.

Learning with ancestors.

Making small steps for a more conscious living such as having a small bucket of compost in our kitchen, in reality is going back to what it used to be normal.

As a child, I spent much of my holidays in the countryside, and one of the memories I have is that my Grandma kept leftovers and organic waste separated to feed our cousins farm animals.

This is a habit that she still practices with 97 years old and waste is something that is valuable to her and not discarded, the same with paper of journal, old clothes, plastic bags and don’t even think about wasting water!

As Feng Shui entered into my life, all of these things came back to me, like a wake up call from the past teaching me that we should keep many of our family and ancestors old habits in order to have a more sustainable and balanced life.

Transform and readapt our way of living has a deep impact on our lifestyle but also in others around and for me that’s what Feng Shui is about.
