Rituals and Feng Shui

Rituals are part of human existence and this behavior has very deep origins in all of humanity.

However, tracing these origins is not easy, as rituals often leave little or even no physical traces for archaeologists to find.

So far, the best evidence of ancient rituals is the deliberate burial of loved ones. The oldest example is found on Mount Carmel in Israel, where about 130,000 years ago a Neanderthal woman was buried by her community.

Some of the most common ritual practices are to clean and purify not only ourselves and others, but also our spaces, renewing energy and focusing on a smooth and harmonious environment for us to live in.

Therefore, when embracing the practice of Feng Shui within spaces, the first thing we must take into account is that there are no perfect homes, but all the attention and work dedicated to it will pay off, so the rituals are certainly a wonderful example of how cleaning and energizing the vibration of any environment is a great way to improve the overall energy.

Christmas season

This time of the year, and people from every corner of the world, celebrate the Christmas season.

Curiously, this season also awakes us to some of the wishes we all aim for in our lives: Health, wealth, prosperity and love.

A Feng Shui lifestyle could bring a more balanced living, inducing the energy around us in our behalf and not against us.

So through a life with Feng Shui practice, it could be a great way for achieving these wishes, by observing closely and taking action to the environment around us, from our planet, our home, to our job, to our family and friends, and even our own self.

Merry Christmas.

West direction in Feng Shui practice.

In Feng Shui, the Metal element is characterized by west and northwest directions.
Its colors are white, gray and silver or gold, so using these colors or metallic and round materials can help you achieve a clearer, more focused environment.

The autumn season is also associated with this element that has a strong energy of cooling and contraction, as well as the ability to let go of what nature has created in previous seasons, respecting the Earth’s cycle.

So if you need more focus, clarity, creativity, discipline and freshness in your life, try using metal element as your ally and feel its power.

However, for more advanced studies, we can work with the quality of each direction according to the year and with our own Ki number.

Bringing Fire Element inside.

As seasons change and we begin to feel the cold weather aproaching, Fire elements inside the spaces are crucial for the overall balance and well being of its inhabitants.

Preparing the homes for the cold is fundamental, searching for a feeling of comfort and protection inside.

Generally, using a fire place, warmer fabrics, candles, lights and touches of red could be a great way to increase Fire energy in any environment, as well as bringing warmth to any home.

How to achieve a peaceful atmosphere in the bedroom?

For the practice of Feng Shui, the room where we sleep is one of the most important rooms in terms of our well-being and harmony.

All living beings absorb energy (Chi) while they sleep, which means that in the space where we rest, the quality of that environment will naturally influence our sleep and our health.

A room full of trash, dirt and dark, gaudy colors will contaminate the overall energy of any space, which in turn will affect its inhabitants.

A hotel room usually invites a good night’s sleep even if it’s just for a few days, a clean environment with white sheets and soft colors makes a difference, especially when we’re away from home and many of us might even feel out of place.

So why not transform the bedroom with a touch of hotel vibe, as if we were going to receive someone important to us, but in this case the guest is really you, the most important person in your life.
