Home objects and Feng Shui.

In general, Feng Shui is the study of energy flow and how everything is connected within spaces, so for this ancient art, every object also carries a vibration, which connects us in a different way.

Obviously, because each of us is different and we vibrate with different types of energy, what might be great for you might not be so great for someone else.

In this way, when we look at certain objects in any space, we could pay more attention to what vibration we are receiving from it and observe which elements are present.

Therefore, objects can be characterized by material, color, shape, symbolism, which are also associated with the 5 elements or transformations of Chinese metaphysics (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Tree).

Look around your home and workspaces, try analyzing the objects around you by asking these questions:

  • what kind of material is this?
  • Is this color good?
  • are there any odd or pointy shapes?
  • what is its meaning or use?

Observation is key to the practice of Feng Shui, and sometimes just doing this exercise can help to unblock stagnant and negative vibrations, bringing more positive energy to flow throughout the space.

SPA’s and enjoying an environment of relaxation and tranquility where you can feel such an amazing Feng Shui.

The acronym SPA comes from the term “salus per aquam”, which is a Latin expression that means healing through water or health through water.

Traditionally, spas were more present in hotels or resorts located outside the city and sought after by people who want rest and health care.

Nourishing our body and soul with the Water element is really taking care of our health, something that should be more frequent in our lives, like the ancient Romans who used the place for therapy and also for relaxation and conviviality.

Since in most of the homes it is difficult to have an environment like this, having the chance to relax in a calm and peaceful atmosphere is quite a blessing.

Being able to enjoy this type of energy, not only strengthens us but connects us more to our interior, disconnecting from worries and external life, listening to our physical and emotional blockages while setting off on a profound journey of healing.

Happy Chinese New Year

For eastern culture, this celebration is the most important of the year, when new intentions are set for the new cycle.

The Chinese calendar has the Moon as a parameter, some even refer to the holiday as Lunar New Year. The year is the end of 12 complete cycles of the Moon.

What marks the New Year is the first New Moon after the winter solstice.

Each year is governed by an animal and it is said that its character denotes the energetic quality of the year, and this year it will be the Rabbit.

This relationship with animals comes from Buddhism. In this mythology it is said that Buddha called a meeting with the animals, but only 12 attended the meeting. Therefore, they were honored according to their order of arrival.

The years have other defining characteristics: they are named after an element (water, metal, earth, fire and wood) and this year will be characterized by Yin Water energy.

Thus, generally, the Rabbit’s nature is calm and diplomatic, avoiding conflicts and keeping away from them.

They are also sociable as long as their space is not invaded. Good communication allows Rabbits to enjoy the company of others, although they prefer not to show off.

It seems to be a great year for negotiations and partnerships, but also symbolizes peace, intellect and caution.

Rituals and Feng Shui

Rituals are part of human existence and this behavior has very deep origins in all of humanity.

However, tracing these origins is not easy, as rituals often leave little or even no physical traces for archaeologists to find.

So far, the best evidence of ancient rituals is the deliberate burial of loved ones. The oldest example is found on Mount Carmel in Israel, where about 130,000 years ago a Neanderthal woman was buried by her community.

Some of the most common ritual practices are to clean and purify not only ourselves and others, but also our spaces, renewing energy and focusing on a smooth and harmonious environment for us to live in.

Therefore, when embracing the practice of Feng Shui within spaces, the first thing we must take into account is that there are no perfect homes, but all the attention and work dedicated to it will pay off, so the rituals are certainly a wonderful example of how cleaning and energizing the vibration of any environment is a great way to improve the overall energy.

Christmas season

This time of the year, and people from every corner of the world, celebrate the Christmas season.

Curiously, this season also awakes us to some of the wishes we all aim for in our lives: Health, wealth, prosperity and love.

A Feng Shui lifestyle could bring a more balanced living, inducing the energy around us in our behalf and not against us.

So through a life with Feng Shui practice, it could be a great way for achieving these wishes, by observing closely and taking action to the environment around us, from our planet, our home, to our job, to our family and friends, and even our own self.

Merry Christmas.
