Do you consider your home a reflection of yourself?

The places we inhabit are often considered as an extension of our mind, body and soul.

There are so many clues that show exactly the essence of the inhabitants, it can go from more messy or more tidy, very well organized or chaotic, super hi-tech and modern, or classic and old fashion, and so many others…

The Universe is filled with countless possibilities and these types of situations can occur in any home, wether a more humble or a more luxurious home, in East or West of the planet.

No matter the style or size, by practicing valuable tools like Feng Shui in our homes, we can be able to shift the energy anytime and by doing this, our own self will be changing to a new transformation, keeping in mind that only depends on ourselves the search of wellness.

“ A thousand mile trip starts with only one small step”- Lao Tzu.

The home as a sanctuary.

For modern living, our home should be our own sanctuary and not just some walls standing, it’s really where we escape from the world outside, where we recharge and gain strength for daily challenges, where we can rest and sleep well, where we can eat our favorite and delicious food, and especially where we can feel happy.

The Feng Shui practice could really help us a lot in achieving this well being, but if we pay close attention, what’s around us inside home could be already helping or difficulting this achievement.

So perhaps, by looking around your home and observe how certain objects make you feel, could be the best to do before anything, dare to change a bit what’s inside your home and remember that plants, positive words, beautiful art and happy pictures are great allies to elevate positive and beneficial energy around you.

How is your kitchen flow?

One of the most important aspects of a home is definitely the kitchen, and also for Feng Shui practice.

All the appliances like the stove, the fridge, the kitchen sink, these are all energy sources that represent different elements like water and fire.

But there is another energy that we might not see, nevertheless is really fundamental too: the space and the flow.

So if your kitchen path is blocked or in some way with obstacles, try to improve that circulation so that energy flows smoothly, bringing good Feng Shui to this important part of the house.

Sometimes even a small change, can make a huge difference.

Choosing symbolic items for your home.

Fu Dogs or Imperial Guardian Lions are a powerful protection symbol in China. They were traditionally placed in front of Imperial palaces, temples, and government offices and were also a traditional Feng Shui symbol of family wealth and social status.

In Feng Shui practice, it’s very common to use some items with symbolic value, but that doesn’t mean we have to go and buy that specific objects.

Why should we buy Fu dogs or Buddha statues if they are meaningless for us?

The value and importance of an object it’s on us, we are the ones that attribute the real meaning, not just because you read it somewhere, so what’s your own personal protection object?

How to enhance the energy in your closet space?

Closet spaces usually emerge from a part of the bedroom or even from an entire and exclusive room for it.

Many people dream of having a space like this, entirely dedicated to clothing with custom made partitions, for coats, shoes, accessories, etc.

So, in order to bring this space a beneficial energy through Feng Shui practice, you can make some small but effective changes such as:

  • Depending on the size of your closet, the first thing would be sorting all of your clothes ( to keep, to donate or even to sell, if you are thinking about throwing away, don’t send it to common trash, there are several places that can use them or recycle);
  • Always try to keep some space inside drawers and your closet, everything that’s too much filled is blocking energy in general;
  • Good lighting is crucial, especially in this space where natural light can be difficult to achieve;
  • Keep in mind that too many decisions in the morning can be challenging, so relieve some of that morning stress by keeping your clothes in order and easy to choose;
  • Being mostly a yin space , incorporate soft tons and little decor, a soft and natural rug can be more than enough;
  • Finally, take this task seriously and schedule a day to finish, sometimes we tend to postpone this space more than others because of the amount of clothes, so rethink about your consumerism habits.
