Christmas season

This time of the year, and people from every corner of the world, celebrate the Christmas season.

Curiously, this season also awakes us to some of the wishes we all aim for in our lives: Health, wealth, prosperity and love.

A Feng Shui lifestyle could bring a more balanced living,inducing the energy around us in our behalf and not against us.

So through a life with Feng Shui practice, it could be a great way for achieving these wishes, by observing closely and taking action to the environment around us, from our planet, our home, to our job, to our family and friends, and even our own self.

Merry Christmas.

Happy New Chinese Year!🐯🎊

Today, February 1, we welcome the Water Tiger Year that only happens once in each 60 years.

According to Feng Shui, each year is characterized by a different animal and its character will consequently influence the energetic quality of the year.

Another important aspect is the compatibility between the animal of the year and our own animal in Chinese astrology.

By saying this, and generally speaking, the best “friends” with the Tiger are the Horse and the Dog, a good relationship with the Rooster and the Pig , feasible relationship with Rat, Tiger, Dragon and Goat.
More challenging relationship with Buffalo, Rabbit, Serpent and Monkey.

Nevertheless, instead of having so many expectations on what this new year could bring, we should also think about what we could bring ourselves that can really shift our lives for the better…this year is definitely a good year to be bold and brave and taking action with transparency and fluidity.

Clocks and Feng Shui.

Feng Shui practice takes into consideration, not only the space and the environment around us, but also the passage of time, such as the seasons, the years, the months, the days, and yes even the hours.

Many Feng Shui scholars take this matter very seriously, adding another layer of information that could be useful for those who are interested in having a more complete study.

So, when you have a broken clock that no longer has purpose, keep in mind that for Feng Shui practice, the unnecessary objects without being used could bring a stagnant energy.

This particular object also represents the passage of time, so when it stops it may no longer bring flow and movement to the space or direction where it’s located, and consequently, to the inhabitants life.

Bamboos and Feng Shui.

In traditional Chinese culture, bamboo trees represent resistance, modesty and loyalty.

As a symbol of virtue, the bamboo is closely related to people of positive spirits, some authors assign bamboo’s characteristics to: its deep root denotes determination and resistance, straight stem represents honor and its interior modesty.

A bamboo tree could be quite positive in encouraging people to hold on when facing tough situations, remembering that we as human beings have also all these characteristics in us.

So in general, for Feng Shui practice, you can use this great tree element in order to help you achieve strength, endurance, flexibility, longevity, luck, money, quick achievement and endurance.

How to benefit from your outdoor space?

Outdoor spaces are very important for Feng Shui practice, but also to find a greater balance between nature and ourselves as human beings.

All transformations can be observed in life, inside or outside our spaces, but the strength of the energy of the sun is more powerful than the light of a lamp.

So as fire, earth, metal, water and tree elements are always around us, we should look for them also outside and benefit from this source of energy in a more natural state, for so to speak.

If you have the chance of having an outdoor space, even if it’s small, don’t discard this opportunity and enjoy what this corner can do for you with these small tips:

  • A table with at least 2 chairs is great to enjoy outside for breakfast, reading or even working;
  • A sunny area, but with some shadow so that doesn’t become too hot;
  • A rest area with comfortable pillows and seating;
  • Plants and vegetable garden could be grown in pots very well and vertical gardens in walls are also a great solution;
  • Finally get your inspiration from natural and recycled materials as much as possible having a more sustainable attitude.
