How can actually attic and garage storage influence Feng Shui results?

When it comes to healing our homes, every room is important, whatever is the attic , the basement or garage. Usually these are the spaces we neglect the most since we don’t get to live in that area and spend very little time in them.

Some Feng Shui practitioners also approach the important relation between symbolism and these environments, even relating to specific areas of life depending on what direction or Bagua corner it is situated.

In this case, if we take a look to the overall energy of the attic, this space represents the future, next generations, plans and projects.

When the energy of this space is blocked, full of clutter and dust, with lots of things and disorganized, it could represent how your goals and aspirations for the future are.

On the other hand, if we use the garage and basement to store too many things, from useless and broken items to inherited pieces, books, and machinery, symbolically, these spaces represent the past and our unconscious, also unsolved problems or pending issues that prevent us from moving forward.

In order to make your home a more harmonious place, pay closer attention to these spaces in your house as it can improve the overall quality of the energy with some effort and care.

How to Use Feng Shui as a Tool for Well-being?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art based on harmonizing and improving the vital energy of the inhabitants of a given space through a series of studies of the surrounding environment.

Therefore, Feng Shui can be applied to both residences and commercial spaces and businesses. But always with the goal of making the environment healthy and prosperous.

Architecture and interior design are certainly important for the practice of Feng Shui, but following this lifestyle has a much greater meaning and implies a deep understanding of how energy moves on the planet, in the sky, in time, each year, in our home, and so on.

In reality, it provides us with information that allows us to have a deeper connection with the environment around us, which has a strong and rapid impact on our well-being.

Peace begins at home.

Creating a peaceful home environment through communication, empathy, and education is the foundation for building a peaceful society, and consequently, a more peaceful world.

One of my biggest dilemmas with Feng Shui is that there’s no point in changing furniture, decor, colors, etc , if peace isn’t within us and in our living spaces.

We must start with ourselves to achieve harmony in our lives, instead of blaming our home, work, other people, and the entire external environment for our problems and failures.

A famous Chinese proverb about peace is “If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”

Welcoming the first chills of Autumn.🍂

For Feng Shui experts, the beginning of the Autumn season can be characterized by a metal energy.

Meaning that all the movement is about concentration, from outside to inside.

As nature slowly changes and frees itself from all the life that has passed, this is probably one of the best times of the year to look inside our minds, homes, and habits and do exactly the same, letting go of everything that no longer serves our life purpose.

If we align ourselves with the rhythms of nature and its seasons, daily life can certainly be more harmonious, without feeling so tired and exhausted, with much less stress and conflict.

Bedside tables and their role in restorative sleep.

The bedside table should be the place where we keep only the essentials for a restful night’s sleep, such as water, the book we want to read, or the cream we like to apply.

Anything else shouldn’t be piled up on the bedside table, too many books, food , pills and especially the cell phone. Several studies have shown that electromagnetic energy disrupts our restful sleep and even our immune system.

Excessive objects in this area also accumulate dust and even mold, which can be harmful to our health in terms of allergies or respiratory problems. Therefore, the more free and organized our bedside table is, the greater the likelihood of better sleep.
