How to Use Feng Shui as a Tool for Well-being?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art based on harmonizing and improving the vital energy of the inhabitants of a given space through a series of studies of the surrounding environment.

Therefore, Feng Shui can be applied to both residences and commercial spaces and businesses. But always with the goal of making the environment healthy and prosperous.

Architecture and interior design are certainly important for the practice of Feng Shui, but following this lifestyle has a much greater meaning and implies a deep understanding of how energy moves on the planet, in the sky, in time, each year, in our home, and so on.

In reality, it provides us with information that allows us to have a deeper connection with the environment around us, which has a strong and rapid impact on our well-being.

Peace begins at home.

Creating a peaceful home environment through communication, empathy, and education is the foundation for building a peaceful society, and consequently, a more peaceful world.

One of my biggest dilemmas with Feng Shui is that there’s no point in changing furniture, decor, colors, etc , if peace isn’t within us and in our living spaces.

We must start with ourselves to achieve harmony in our lives, instead of blaming our home, work, other people, and the entire external environment for our problems and failures.

A famous Chinese proverb about peace is “If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”

Welcoming the first chills of Autumn.🍂

For Feng Shui experts, the beginning of the Autumn season can be characterized by a metal energy.

Meaning that all the movement is about concentration, from outside to inside.

As nature slowly changes and frees itself from all the life that has passed, this is probably one of the best times of the year to look inside our minds, homes, and habits and do exactly the same, letting go of everything that no longer serves our life purpose.

If we align ourselves with the rhythms of nature and its seasons, daily life can certainly be more harmonious, without feeling so tired and exhausted, with much less stress and conflict.

Bedside tables and their role in restorative sleep.

The bedside table should be the place where we keep only the essentials for a restful night’s sleep, such as water, the book we want to read, or the cream we like to apply.

Anything else shouldn’t be piled up on the bedside table, too many books, food , pills and especially the cell phone. Several studies have shown that electromagnetic energy disrupts our restful sleep and even our immune system.

Excessive objects in this area also accumulate dust and even mold, which can be harmful to our health in terms of allergies or respiratory problems. Therefore, the more free and organized our bedside table is, the greater the likelihood of better sleep.

What things are you ready to let go of?

After the holidays, it’s time to return home, and what awaits us can sometimes be overwhelming, perhaps because some of us procrastinate or because the kids have simply grown and their clothes no longer fit.

Whatever your situation, if you feel like your space is overflowing with clutter, now is the time to declutter. Here are some simple steps to get you started:

▪️Organize all your closets by sorting and separating, maximizing space, and trying to maintain them regularly;

▪️Organize your pantry to save time, money, and stress by categorizing items, cleaning containers, etc.

▪️Create an efficient workspace that helps you focus and increase productivity, clear away clutter and organize papers, digital documents, and cables.

Afterward, try to maintain an efficient and organized home so that the next time you enter your space, you feel peace of mind and create an inviting and functional atmosphere for all the inhabitants.
