In general, Feng Shui is the study of energy flow and how everything is connected within spaces, so for this ancient art, every object also carries a vibration, which connects us in a different way.
Obviously, because each of us is different and we vibrate with different types of energy, what might be great for you might not be so great for someone else.
In this way, when we look at certain objects in any space, we could pay more attention to what vibration we are receiving from it and observe which elements are present.
Therefore, objects can be characterized by material, color, shape, symbolism, which are also associated with the 5 elements or transformations of Chinese metaphysics (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Tree).
Look around your home and workspaces, try analyzing the objects around you by asking these questions:
- what kind of material is this?
- Is this color good?
- are there any odd or pointy shapes?
- what is its meaning or use?
Observation is key to the practice of Feng Shui, and sometimes just doing this exercise can help to unblock stagnant and negative vibrations, bringing more positive energy to flow throughout the space.
