At first, we may think that a house with good Feng Shui is one that has great views, or big gardens and pools, but in fact, even a small home in an urban city can have the same beneficial energy as the others it only depends on the work and love you dedicate to it, including practicing Feng Shui principles of course.
At this time, small outdoor spaces are being upgraded to meet the growing demand of urban gardeners and so here’s just a few tips on how to keep your outdoor space sustainable and Feng Shui orientated even in the city:
- If you are planning a small vegetable garden choose East or Southeast direction to place it, South would be also good but only for the plants who tolerate more sunlight;
- Having your own compost bin is a great way to contribut for a greener future and you will notice that tree leafs,fruit and vegetables leftovers can be valuable for nurturing your plants, place it at Northeast;
- At North, try to save water from the rain with any bucket and is also better to water plants with no chemicals from the pipes;
- Southwest is great for creating a confy and relaxing corner with pillows, like this one handmade in Alentejo from @caravana_chic.
